"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone."
-Neile Donald Walsch-
Clients often ask, "What is family therapy? How does Marriage Counseling work?" All therapists approach problems based on their theoretical training. As a family therapist, I approach problems from a systemic viewpoint, which means that I look at how you function in all of the important areas of your life: family, work, school, community. I help you identify what helps you achieve what you want, what may be getting in the way of success and collaboratively develop ways for you to use more of what works and less of what doesn't. Important people in your life may be invited to join a session to provide added perspective or support.
I believe that you are the expert on your life and that the answers reside within you. Sessions are designed to be respectful, solution-focused and strength-based so that you are able to build your skill base and complete treatment as quickly as possible.
Making the decision to seek therapy is not a decision that is made lightly. I will work with you to formulate goals and to help you take the steps necessary to achieve them. You have several options to GET STARTED:
How much does therapy or counseling cost? Concerns about payment should not prevent you form seeking help. Out-of-network payment is accepted for other insurance plans. A sliding scale fee schedule is available for those without insurance or those who choose not to use insurance. If you are concerned about cost, please contact me and I will work with you to develop a payment plan that is comfortable for you.
For those seeking help for symptoms of anxiety, depression, anger management and support in determining the best path for your relationship: marriage, separation and divorce.
